TextArea.htmlText FIXED!

I have been having an issue with setting htmlText with img tags embeded. Usually the first time you set the htmlText of a text field it is ok, but when you set it again you get an error:

The supplied DisplayObject must be a child of the caller

There was no elegant solution to this so I have created one. Here it is…

Scale to Bounds?

Am am working on a project that needs some sort of scale to bounds script. For example, imagine a movieclip with 10 objects within. Each object has its bounds stored. I need to be able to scale and move the container movieclip so that the selected sub-movieclip takes up the view area (view area is stored as bounds too).

Had anybody had to do something like this? I am having trouble finding any information on this.

I am unsure if this is new news but I just noticed adobe.com has gone through a redesign. I love the colourful backgrounds and black crumb-trail on the top, makes the humungous site a but more navigable.

Argh! The class or interface ’someclass’ could not be loaded.

A while back I made the leap to be a 100% Mac developer. I have recently had to resurrect an old AS2 project and am having issues getting the classes working on my Mac/CS3/Leopard setup.

I have coped over the old fla and actionscript classes and the class paths are setup 100% correct. (I have tested many other projects and they work fine)

For some reason it is reporting the classes could not be loaded, I am stuck and have googled for any sort of answer with no luck. I have tried the usual clean ASO cache etc. Has anybody else had this issue? or can give any advice?

A week or so ago I installed the stats plugin for WordPress. I have found it very informative. I found it rather amusing that I am ranked 50th on Google for the search ‘big ass‘. Just because of my post entitled ‘Big Ass Table‘.

Lets see if this post pushes me up
